| Kart Set-Up Sheets Need a little set-up help. Start with this for your Junior Kart. This is the recommended suggested starting setup for either the Arrow and Tony Kart Junior Chassis.
Kart Model: Arrow AX9 Junior Chassis Class: Junior National Event: Standard Set-up Date: 2008 AXLE SIZE: 30mm TYRES: Dunlop SL1 FRONT CRASH BAR: Firm with nylon rubber fitted REAR CRASH BAR: Firm REAR RIDE HEIGHT: High (axle low in kart) REAR TRACK: 1230mm REAR AXLE TYPE: Standard FRONT RIDE HEIGHT: Central FRONT TOE: 2mm OUT Overall FRONT TRACK: 10mm spacers on inside each front wheel FRONT CASTER: Minimum FRONT CAMBER: 2mm POSITIVE Overall FRONT TORSION BAR: Removed SIDE POD BARS: Loose REAR HUB LENGTH: 80mm ACKERMAN: Maximum ( inner hole on stub arm ) Chassis Adjustments Front Torsion Bar: Problem: "My kart is understeering going into and through the turn" Solution: Fit the front torsion bar Problem: "My kart has too much steering and makes the rear of the kart snap out on me" Solution: Remove the front torsion bar Note: If the track is very rough and bumpy, removing the Front torsion bar will help smooth the ride over the bumps
Kart Model: Tony Kart Nordik Class: Junior National Event: Standard Set-up Date: 2008 AXLE SIZE: 30mm AXLE LENGTH: AXLE TYPE: Type N TYRES: Dunlop SL1 REAR TRACK: Tony Kart wheels, rim to rim, o/side to o/side;1250mm 1280mm FRONT TRACK: Tony Kart wheels, Top of inside front rim to centre of kingpin 70mm_85mm REAR BAR: N/A FRONT BAR: Out (in for rain or sometimes for flowing style circuit or very slippery circuits) REAR RIDE HEIGHT: STD (axle middle of 3 ride height position). (For high grip or tall driver try axle low, chassis high) CASTER: Not normally required or recommended REAR WHEEL HUBS: Standard i.e. 85mm at maximum rear track (use shorter hubs when running narrow at rear) REAR AXLE: Tony type N 30mm FRONT CRASH BAR: Usually tight FRONT LOWER CRASH BAR: N/A SEAT STAYS: None SIDE PODS: Loose TYRE PRESSURE: 20_24 psi This Tony Kart set up sheet is for a circuit that offers normal grip levels for the duration of the event. It is not intended for a `Green` circuit or a circuit that has worn out stones.
