CKRC News - Round 2- 21/22nd Feb 2009

Round 2
The second round of the Canberra Kart Racing Club
Championships will be held on the 21st & 22nd February
2009. 
 
This will also be the first round of the Southern Zone

Classes to run.
- Midgets
- Rookies
- Junior National Light
- Junior National Heavy
- Junior Clubman
- Senior National Light
- Senior National Heavy
- Clubsport Light
- Clubsport Heavy
- Clubsport Super Heavy
- Rotax Light
- Rotax Heavy
- JMAX
- TAG Restricted
- Open Performance

The track will be closed Friday 20th February, but early entries can be completed at the track on Friday 20th from 1pm - 2:30pm & from 4 - 5pm. Scrutineering will also be available on Friday 20th from 1-5pm. Otherwise Saturday 21st - Entries & Scrutineering completed by 9am.

SUGGESTED TIMETABLE
SATURDAY
7.00am to 9.00 am - Race Entries & Scrutineering
8.00am to 11:40am - Official Practice
11.40 to 11.50am - Officials Briefing
11.50am to 12.00pm - Drivers Briefing
12.00pm - 1st heat commences

SUNDAY
7.45am - Carburettor Session
8.45am - Drivers Briefing
9.00am - Racing Commences

Camping is available.

The CKRC track is a fast undulating 750m course, and for the spectator there's plenty of seating and LIVE commentary of all races. The Canberra Kart Club track is on a section of the Fairbairn Park Motor-Racing Complex on the Pialligo Road heading from Canberra to Queanbeyan.

For those members or drivers wanting to know more about the open performance class the Canberra Kart Club is currently running, in particular, rules governing this class, please open your 2008 manual and refer to Chapter 27.  
 
Stable Karting will be offering our usual track side assistance and shop facilities. Please come and see either Bruce or Kylie for any assistance you might need.
